The Declaration Project

In honor of the 250th anniversary of our nation and premiering July 1, 2026, at David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, The Declaration Project is a groundbreaking project created by visionary pianist and cultural catalyst (and Eden’s artistic curator / artist in residence) Lara Downes and co-commissioned by Eden. This project features three newly commissioned works by Valerie Coleman, Arturo O’Farrill, and two-time GRAMMY Award-winning composer Christopher Tin for piano soloist Lara and orchestra. The work interlaces music and video projection in a contemporary declaration of our collective hopes, struggles, and untold histories.

The concert performance is framed by video portraits captured during Lara’s travels across America – an artistic journey that invites communities nationwide to reflect on the magic and mystery of life, the ongoing quest for freedom and equality, and the radical power of joy.

As part of this national collaboration, The Eden Arts & Immersive Media Festival is proudly co-commissioning these new works and co-producing live presentations of The Pursuit of Happiness with Christopher Tin in multiple cities across the United States throughout the summer of 2026, amplifying the shared creative spirit at the heart of America’s 250th anniversary celebration.

BELLA GAIA: The Dome Experience

BELLA GAIA (“Beautiful Earth”) is an award-winning immersive journey combining NASA imagery, live music, and cinematic artistry to reveal the beauty and interconnectedness of our planet. Created by composer-director Kenji Williams, it evokes the awe-inspiring “Overview Effect” once experienced only by astronauts. Now reimagined for the world’s first LED Dome Theater as part of a commission for Eden, BELLA GAIA: The Dome Experience surrounds audiences with 360° LED visuals, holographic light, and spatial sound—transforming it into a living symphony of Earth, humanity, and home.

Across America’s most breathtaking landscapes, from Utah’s red-rock canyons to the nation’s historic parks, The Great American Stage transforms nature itself into a living stage. World-class artists and celebrated youth ensembles unite in performances that blend music, environment, and technology into an unforgettable tribute to our shared humanity. Through partnerships with national parks and premier venues across the country, these concerts weave together live orchestral sound, holographic artistry, and immersive storytelling, inviting audiences to experience the spirit of America as one vast, resonant symphony.
